Over the years I have gone through many changes -
my age, my lifestyle, my faith, and lastly my art.
My mediums remain the same: pastel, colored pencil, and drawing.
One thing emerges though and that is my love of the pastel medium.
Another constant has been my love of nature.
I have always lived in a rural area surrounded by nature and
have spent a great deal of time focusing on the animal kingdom,
enjoy the challenge of capturing any creature in its natural habitat.
Painting plein air landscapes is also a passion.
As time has passed, I began to want more -
more than creating my art and exhibiting the works when possible, I want my work to jump to a new level.
One goal has always been, as far back as memory serves, to become an associate member of the Pastel Society of America.
This dream was fulfilled in 2018. My next goal is to apply for full membership to that organization as a signature member.
This membership, along with studying with several nationally known pastel artists,
has helped my art to evolve into a more loose and colorful expression.
My overall goal is for my art to bring joy to my viewers.
